Responsibilities:
- Contribute to ongoing research activities on the global solution of a specific parametric nonlinear optimization problem.
- Implement solution methods for the problem of interest in object-oriented code while keeping an eye on computational performance.
- Use state-of-the-art solvers to create benchmarks.
- Drive an independent work task.
Requirement:
- Enrolled in a master's in Mathematics.
- Background in nonlinear optimization and familiar with corresponding solution algorithms.
- Programming experience in object-oriented languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Enjoy engaging with advanced mathematical problems and deriving solutions.
- Readiness to tackle difficult problems, above-average motivation to implement and test developed models and algorithms, and proactiveness to come up with new ideas.
