Job Description Your Role Analyst, Data Governance (Corporate Functions)
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain the data catalog. Monitor and manage metadata to ensure accuracy and ongoing updates. Assist with data cataloging, profiling, lineage, and data quality processes. Provide guidance and training to employees on accessing and using the Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy. Produce metrics and management reporting related to metadata usage and content quality. Complete special projects as assigned to support departmental needs. Solve problems and make recommendations for improving process complexities. Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge retention. Handle and manage escalations related to metadata processes. Support GIDS leadership in meeting team objectives and strategic initiatives. Stay informed about changes in the broader data landscape and provide insights to GIDS management. Experience you bring 0–3 years of experience in a data role, preferably in financial services. Understanding of metadata and its importance in business and IT processes. Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices (preferred). Understanding of data modeling and data entity relationships. Experience with metadata management tools (preferred; training available). Skills Required Strong process and project management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Solid interpersonal skills. Strong technical skills with ability to model relationships between data entities. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Analytical skills for interpreting data and producing reports. Strong problem‑solving skills. Educational Qualifications Postgraduate (PG) degree. IT and finance‑related certifications preferred. Personal Attributes Flexible team player with the ability to multitask. Strong accuracy and ability to work independently. Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Self‑driven with strong initiative. Willingness to adjust schedule occasionally for global collaboration.
