Short Summary:
Zipline is seeking a Technical Program Manager for the droid, the delivery container at the heart of their autonomous logistics system. This role involves driving the program from architecture through prototypes to full-rate production, ensuring designs translate into real hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the EV3 droid program from architecture through prototypes, qualification, and full-rate production.
- Own the master schedule for the droid, identifying critical paths and negotiating timelines.
- Coordinate prototype builds, inspections, tooling releases, and production ramps.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational bottlenecks.
- Facilitate technical discussions and design reviews.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing partners globally.
- Develop tools, documentation, and processes to enhance team effectiveness.
- Create dashboards to identify failure modes and improve field performance.
- Communicate program status, risks, and decisions across stakeholders.
Requirement:
- 2+ years of experience in technical program management or hardware engineering.
- Experience with complex electromechanical hardware systems.
- Strong systems thinking and execution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive technical programs.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the US and work in person at Zipline's South San Francisco office.
