Short Summary:
As Senior Financial Analyst, you'll serve as the Finance Business Partner for various teams, turning financial data into actionable insights to support the mission of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning that drives mission goals.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for Communications and other teams.
- Develop and maintain financial models that surface trends and reveal opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analysis and KPIs.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Build relationships with cross-functional leaders to guide them through planning cycles.
- Identify inefficiencies and lead improvements in financial planning and reporting.
- Support strategic projects with financial analysis.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years in financial analysis and planning.
- Direct experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling tools.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfort operating independently in a remote, multicultural team.
