This person will work closely with project engineering, art, and design leadership to develop high-quality, extensible gameplay features for an online multiplayer RPG. </span></p><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000">The ideal candidate will own and support a variety of core gameplay systems, demonstrating high competency for gameplay and feature development and a true passion for game development. </span></p><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>What part will you play? </b></span></p><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Develop and implement key gameplay systems and features, with a focus on building extensible architecture to support online, evolving gameplay in a live environment. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Work closely with the design team to build core gameplay systems and supporting tools. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Work closely with the project engineering team to architect and develop high quality, low-latency, and highly responsive code. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Participate in all parts of the development process from concept through to live-ops. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Develop and implement key game systems and features, as well as integrating with internal and external shared services and libraries. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Perform peer code reviews and champion a high standard of code excellence. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Mentor junior engineers and provide design guidance on new features. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Work with design and product teams for feature viability, costing, design completeness, and risk assessment. </span></li></ul><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>What do we need from you? </b></span></p><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">5+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on cross-functional teams. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Experience on at least one successfully-published large-scale multiplayer online game title or equivalent. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Experience on at least one successfully-published game title or equivalent. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent work experience. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Proficiency in C++ (Templates, Exception Handling, Multi-Threading, etc.). </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Strong 3D Math (Linear Algebra, Vector/Matrix Math, Quaternions, etc.). </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Proficient experience with the Unreal Engine (Core systems, player input, game modes, user interfaces, etc.). </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Exceptional understanding of all game development disciplines and their inputs into the content pipeline. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. </span></li></ul><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>Good to Hav</b>e </span></p><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">A passion for online multiplayer RPGs and deep experience with online games. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Deep knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in online gaming. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Understanding of Performance Analysis and Optimizations. </span></li></ul><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><span></span> </span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><span>How We Get Things Done…</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>This last bit is probably the most important! Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $115,666.00 - $214,808.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
