Short Summary:
Veeam is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Director of Engineering - PrivacyOps to lead the development of our core privacy-related product suite, managing multiple cross-functional modules responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products that define the PrivacyOps category.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in architectural reviews and code sessions.
- Build an AI-first engineering practice.
- Own the architecture and roadmap for a scalable integration and connector framework.
- Represent engineering in key customer interactions.
- Drive the roadmap for critical PrivacyOps modules.
- Collaborate with Product Management to align engineering execution with business strategy.
- Mentor and partner with senior engineering leads.
Requirement:
- Proven experience with Go and/or Python for building high-concurrency backend systems.
- Strong background in microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and message brokers.
- Experience leading SDKs or integration platform development.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of PrivacyOps philosophies and global privacy regulations.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with strategic leadership.
