Ultima Genomics is a rapidly growing company developing groundbreaking genomics technologies. We are looking for a highly motivated Field Service Engineer II to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site service to customers primarily in the Phoenix area, including repair and installation of company instrumentation.
- Review technical reports and documents from customers, analyze issues with technical staff, and communicate next steps to customers.
- Maintain records of tool configurations and manage customer interface with research and development groups.
- Exceed customer expectations of service and support.
- Summarize and communicate issues to development engineers for triage and participate in root cause analysis investigations.
Requirement:
- BS in scientific or engineering field.
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering or field service experience, preferably in biotech or capital equipment industry.
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, server installations, and instrumentation troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Good people skills and ability to work independently and in a group.
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
