Short Summary:
Thyme Care is transforming the cancer care experience for patients and their caregivers. We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our technical team and contribute to the development of Thyme Box, our internal care management platform.
Responsibilities:
- Connect with and add to our collaborative, agile team.
- Independently plan, build, and deliver multiple features within the Thyme Box product.
- Partner closely with Product to scope experiments and shape new product ideas.
- Work with oncology leaders to solve evolving business problems through technical solutions.
- Help create an intuitive user interface for the care team.
- Surface data from multiple sources to keep the care team updated on patients.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting software in production.
- Strong experience with web development and building single-page applications (Vue.js/TypeScript, FastAPI/Python, Postgres).
- Experience in fast-paced, early-stage environments.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice to have: Experience with AI tooling and prior experience in healthcare or health tech.
