Short Summary:
Tala is seeking a Senior Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to own the analytics for accounting and finance reporting across multiple markets. This role involves ensuring the correctness and traceability of reports that feed statutory filings and audits, while migrating reporting to a governed infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Own the queries and data logic behind monthly close reporting, tax reporting, and external audit support.
- Ensure every report is traceable end to end, connected and documented to an audit-ready standard.
- Bring an under-documented estate up to a documentation-first standard with version-controlled queries.
- Partner with Analytics Engineering to migrate reporting off legacy infrastructure.
- Maintain the accounting master report list as a living single source of truth.
- Own reconciliation logic and ensure compliance with regulatory variations across markets.

Requirement:
- 4–6 years in data/analytics roles with experience in financial or accounting reporting.
- Expert SQL and fluency with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse.
- Direct experience working with external auditors, familiar with audit cycles and documentation standards.
- Experience documenting business processes and reporting logic.
- Mindset focused on standardization, scalability, and continuous process improvement.
- Experience producing month-end close, tax, and regulatory reporting across multiple markets.
- Intermediate Python skills.
