The Operations Manager, Sales Engineering is a people-focused leadership role responsible for leading, coaching and enabling our Sales Engineering teams across North-West Europe. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer-facing teams to support customer engagement, partner enablement and the successful positioning of SOTI solutions. Our Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of those about to become customers in an effort to maximize their experience with SOTI products. This includes providing technical support, revenue generation in net new customer acquisition add-on sales, and partner enablement training. In addition to technical ability and strong leadership aptitude, the role requires an understanding of strategic consultative sales to achieve & exceed sales targets and identify areas of efficiency within the team. This position places particular emphasis on creating, improving and embedding consistent sales engineering processes, driving follow-up actions, validating team outputs and ensuring operational discipline across the theatre. The successful candidate will help the team work more effectively, use data and tools to improve visibility, and support high-quality customer and partner engagement. All Northwest Europe Sales Engineers will report into this position. The role is office based in Gothenburg, Sweden and will require travel across the theatre to coach and support the team face to face, and to attend customer, partner, OEM and trade show engagements alongside the Sales Engineering team. What You’ll Do Lead, coach and develop the North West Europe Sales Engineering team, driving a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Align Sales Engineering activities, processes and resources with regional business objectives to ensure consistent execution and customer success. Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and executive stakeholders to support strategic opportunities, partner engagement and operational excellence. Drive team performance through coaching, KPI management, process optimization and the effective use of tools and AI-enabled productivity solutions. Travel across the region to support team development, customer engagements, partner relationships and key business initiatives. Experience You’ll Bring Experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, or a similar customer-facing technical environment. Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams. Strong commercial and operational mindset, with a track record of improving processes, driving accountability and delivering consistent execution. Good understanding of enterprise software, SaaS, enterprise mobility and technical sales environments, with familiarity across cloud technologies, networking, security and identity management concepts. Ability to engage confidently with customers, partners and technical stakeholders, translating business needs into effective solution discussions. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, partners and senior leadership. Experience using Salesforce and other business systems to support pipeline visibility, reporting and team performance management. Practical experience leveraging AI and productivity tools to improve efficiency, collaboration and day-to-day ways of working. Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing priorities across multiple markets and stakeholders. Experience working with enterprise customers, channel partners, resellers, distributors or OEMs is highly desirable. Exposure to partner enablement, executive briefings, industry events or formal sales methodologies such as SPIN, Value Selling or Miller Heiman is an advantage. Relevant experience with SaaS platforms, Jira, or technical certifications is beneficial. Willingness to travel across the region to support team development, customer engagements and strategic business initiatives.
