The Position Job description The Principal Technical Consultant acts as a senior strategic tech consultant, leveraging in-depth architectural ownership of the Salesforce CRM Integrations, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud ecosystem, Data Cloud (D360) harmonization. Operating effectively within a complex matrix organization, you will navigate regional nuances, drive consensus, and manage strict backlog prioritization. Description of the area Job Responsibilities Scope / (Technical Solution Architecture): Acts as the technical authority for Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and Data Cloud (D360), overseeing global CRM technical architecture and integration design with full autonomy. Coordinates complexity and scale across our operational ecosystem, defines technical discovery efforts across highly ambiguous spaces, and manages the technical delivery of the architectural roadmap. Accountability/Problem Solving: Leads the analysis of business and platform problems, driving comprehensive root cause analysis and maintaining full ownership of technical debt, system performance, and integration integrity. Proactively prevents custom-code sprawl and scope creep, and is ultimately accountable for technical deliverables and operational stability, ensuring architectural alignment with broader organizational objectives. Stakeholder Management: Identifies and engages key stakeholders, including management, across regional and global organizational boundaries. Shapes product strategy as a trusted advisor to leadership, actively navigates conflicts to drive unified platform alignment, and empowers teams in stakeholder management. Impact/Strategy: Drives significant impact on projects and programs by ensuring the delivery of high-value solutions that align with commercial business strategy. Leads the evaluation of strategic solution options, including advanced AI capability assessments (Agentforce, automation loops) and risk assessment, and actively shapes long-term global product roadmaps. Complexity / (Product Size): Works typically on a global product or product line level, effectively managing highly ambiguous and evolving requirements in dynamic, live operational environments. Demonstrates a holistic viewpoint to analyze problems, considering potential micro and macro implications across related domains and interconnected integration layers (such as Slack collaboration hubs). Technical Leadership: Leverages expert knowledge of Salesforce multi-cloud engineering, API-led connectivity, and architectural governance to inform global strategies. Leads the application of engineering principles across complex initiatives, anticipating technical challenges and proactively integrating advanced integration patterns and implementation engineering for AI capabilities (Agentforce) into broader solution design. Guardrails & Compliance: Defines architectural guardrails and compliance protocols for Agentforce, ensuring secure and scalable AI deployments that adhere to global data privacy and enterprise standards. System of Context: Implements advanced integration patterns between Slack, Salesforce, and Data Cloud (D360) to deliver a unified "System of Context," driving seamless data flow and enhanced user collaboration across the commercial ecosystem. Qualifications Education / Experience Extensive experience architecting complex Salesforce solutions within the Life Sciences/Biotech vertical, coordinating complexity and scale across highly ambiguous global spaces. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Technical Ownership, CRM Sales ecosystems, and modern Salesforce architectural practices. Hands-on experience with Salesforce core technologies (Apex, LWC, Flows) and integration middleware (MuleSoft or similar). Proven track record of recommending optimal technology solutions for sustainable business transformation and working on unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions. Technical Skills Ability to apply systems thinking to provide holistic and enterprise-wide product lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of CRM Integrations, CRM Data expertise, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Data Cloud (D360) and Agentforce. Good to have skills on the Slack Platform. Mastery in requirements and domain knowledge, with the ability to conduct comprehensive root cause analysis and advanced value and risk assessments. Additional Qualifications Exceptional stakeholder management skills, acting as a role model in teamwork and driving good collaboration across Informatics and business structures. Strong dedication to actively contributing to organizational development, including showing leadership in the Product Owner Community of Practice and acting as a mentor for technical and product practitioners.
