Short Summary:
The Global Head of Patient Safety Operations is responsible for leading the implementation of the Patient Safety Operations strategy, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering innovation and efficiency in safety processes.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of above-country safety operational activities, ensuring consistent execution globally.
- Leading Patient Safety Operations Teams responsible for Individual Case Safety reports (ICSR) and medical device safety report collection.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure operational requirements and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Consulting on safety data collection obligations and negotiating safety agreements with partners.
- Ensuring Patient Safety Operations function is inspection ready and assisting during inspections and audits.
- Leading and managing the Patient Safety Operations team, ensuring coaching and development of team members.
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in Safety Risk Management.
Requirement:
- MD, PharmD, PhD, or other advanced degree strongly desired.
- Extensive management experience in pharmaceutical safety with a thorough understanding of safety operations and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in managing business process outsourcing vendors and relationships.
- Strong change management experience and ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated influencing abilities.
