Job Summary
NetApp is seeking a Google Cloud Sales Specialist to support business growth across Germany and the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding customer opportunities related to NetApp's cloud and data management solutions, with a focus on Google Cloud.
The successful candidate will work with enterprise customers, Google Cloud teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to support cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and data management initiatives. The position requires engagement with business and technical decision-makers, development of customer relationships, and management of opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory and account growth plans across Germany and the DACH region.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline and provide accurate business forecasts.
- Engage with customer stakeholders to understand business requirements and technology objectives.
- Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Position solutions related to cloud adoption, data management, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, analytics, AI, and application modernization.
- Collaborate with Google Cloud, system integrators, channel partners, managed service providers, and independent software vendors.
- Support discussions related to data protection, information security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements.
- Participate in customer presentations, business reviews, industry events, and partner engagements.
- Share customer and market insights to support business planning and go-to-market activities.
- Travel within Germany and the DACH region as required.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in enterprise technology sales, preferably within Germany and the DACH region.
- Proven experience managing strategic enterprise customer relationships.
- Experience selling cloud, software, infrastructure, storage, data management, or related technology solutions.
- Experience managing complex sales engagements from opportunity creation through contract execution.
- Experience working with cloud providers, channel partners, system integrators, and partner ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline opportunities and achieve business objectives.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of cloud adoption, hybrid cloud environments, data management, analytics, AI, and modernization initiatives.
- Understanding of customer requirements related to security, compliance, privacy, and data governance.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Language Requirements
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Google Cloud sales organizations.
- Experience selling cloud storage, hybrid cloud, or data management solutions.
- Experience supporting customers in regulated industries, including financial services, public sector, healthcare, telecommunications, or manufacturing.
- Relevant cloud or industry certifications.
