We’re looking for passionate individuals eager to grow in an ethics-driven environment that values sustainability and diversity.<br>We’re committed to building a truly inclusive culture—come and join us.</p><p>This opportunity is to work in our offices in San Sebastian, Spain.<br></p><p><strong>The Technical Engineering Director</strong></p><ul><li><p>Drives end-to-end delivery on customer projects: from technical scoping to execution and delivery.</p></li><li><p>Transforms client needs into innovation: identifies opportunities to derive new intellectual property, with a strong focus on transferring innovations into scalable company products.</p></li><li><p>Builds and curates a high-performance team: responsible for recruitment, mentorship, career development, and fostering an open and collaborative environment.</p></li><li><p>Allocates and optimizes talent across projects: ensures that resources are aligned effectively with department priorities while maintaining workload balance.</p></li><li><p>Brings unique technical expertise: leverages deep domain knowledge in machine learning, LLMs, and/or quantum computing to act as a technical authority and trusted advisor.</p></li><li><p>Coordinates with other directors: identifies cross-project synergies and ensures alignment with other department teams to maximize company-wide impact.</p></li><li><p>Represents the department externally: acts as a technical and strategic point of contact for customers, managing relationships and aligning client success with company objectives.</p></li><li><p>Reports directly to VP of Services and CTO.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Physics, Computer Science, or related STEM field.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 3 years’ industry experience working on applied machine learning solutions, with emphasis on NLP, Large Language Models, or Deep Learning.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management with hands-on responsibility for delivering end-to-end client engagements.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated team management experience, ideally managing managers and multi-project pipelines</p></li><li><p>Experience with Python and applied ML frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Ability to collaborate with diverse and distributed teams, across both technical and non-technical functions.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience translating prototypes into products in collaboration with Product and Platform teams.</p></li><li><p>Track record of acting as customer point of contact, aligning technical roadmaps with customer expectations.</p></li><li><p>Ability to mentor senior engineers and managers, supporting professional growth and retention.</p></li><li><p>Solid background in developing and managing project plans, budgets, and milestones in complex projects.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills with experience presenting at C-level stakeholder meetings.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently, proactively identify opportunities, and drive results in a rapidly scaling environment.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with quantum computing concepts or enterprise-scale AI deployment is a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Perks & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><p>Indefinite contract.</p></li><li><p>Equal pay guaranteed.</p></li><li><p>Variable performance bonus.</p></li><li><p>Signing bonus.</p></li><li><p>We offer work visa sponsorship (If applicable).</p></li><li><p>Relocation package (if applicable).</p></li><li><p>Private health insurance.</p></li><li><p>Flexible remuneration: hospitality and public transportation.</p></li><li><p>Eligibility for educational budget according to internal policy.</p></li><li><p>Hybrid opportunity.</p></li><li><p>Language classes and discounted lunch options</p></li><li><p>A high-performance, collaborative environment, operating at pace on cutting-edge technologies</p></li><li><p> Career plan.
