Short Summary:
Humanoid is seeking an experienced Global Head of Tax to own the worldwide tax strategy, structure, and compliance. This role involves designing a tax-efficient global operating structure and managing direct and indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage the group's multi-entity global structure, including SPVs, JVs, and holding entities.
- Advise on tax implications of equity, employee incentive plans, financing, and corporate transactions.
- Own corporate income tax and other direct taxes across all jurisdictions.
- Establish and maintain transfer-pricing policies and intercompany agreements.
- Own indirect taxes, including VAT, GST, and US sales & use tax.
- Manage customs, duties, and tariffs on cross-border movements.
- Identify, claim, and optimise R&D tax credits and innovation incentives.
- Own the global tax compliance calendar and annual filings.
- Lead tax workstreams for corporate transactions, including IPO readiness.
Requirement:
- Extensive tax experience in-house and/or in practice, with a track record of leading tax across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of multi-entity structures, SPVs, JVs, and SPACs.
- Deep expertise across direct taxes, indirect tax, customs, tariffs, and transfer pricing.
- Hands-on experience with R&D credits and annual filings.
- Experience supporting tax implications of equity and employee incentive plans.
- Both IPO/public-company and startup/scale-up experience.
- Exposure to core jurisdictions: Canada, the UK, the USA, Germany, and the Middle East.
