Short Summary:
At Engine, we’re transforming business travel into something personalized, rewarding, and simple. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the FinTech vertical, focusing on accounting integrations that ensure seamless user experiences with ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build integrations between Engine's billing system and major ERP platforms (QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage, Xero, Oracle Fusion).
- Work directly with external vendors to navigate their APIs and get integration designs approved.
- Own the full integration lifecycle from vendor demos to production and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the billing team and internal accounting stakeholders to ensure accurate ERP flow.
- Drive the design and implementation of greenfield services, replacing legacy code with modern microservices.
- Enable other product teams by building and maintaining necessary integrations.
Requirement:
- Strong system design skills with the ability to explain architectural decisions and tradeoffs.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical problems to non-technical stakeholders.
- AI fluency, comfortable using tools like Claude and Cursor as main coding interfaces.
- Proven delivery of complex systems, not just features.
- Java or Kotlin experience (preferred).
