Short Summary:
Convex is seeking a Head of Marketing to own and lead all marketing efforts, working closely with the founders to refine their vision and build a strong marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a track record in marketing leadership, particularly in technical or developer-facing companies.
Responsibilities:
- Own Convex marketing end to end: positioning, launches, content, community, events, and brand.
- Decide what we don't do and focus on the two or three motions that matter most.
- Work directly with the founders to refine their points of view into excellent marketing.
- Build and lead a small, excellent marketing team over time, while also executing tasks personally.
- Set the quality bar for marketing materials, ensuring they are authentic and engaging.
Requirement:
- A track record of marketing leadership at a technical or developer-facing company.
- Genuine excellence in at least one marketing discipline (product marketing, brand, content, or community).
- Experience working directly with founders and the ability to push back when necessary.
- Comfort being hands-on in both strategy and execution.
- A reliable sense for distinguishing between substance and hype.
- Interest in working in-person at Convex's office in SF.
