Short Summary:
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is an infrastructure platform for modern workloads. The operations and management engineering team is focused on simplifying operations across enterprise private cloud environments, enhancing management capabilities, and delivering innovative management functions.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver highly scalable and innovative features for private cloud management and operations.
- Participate in all phases of the software development cycle as part of an agile team.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality code with tests.
- Provide design specifications and documents for your work.
- Research & evaluate new technologies for building and delivering new features.
- Participate in architectural design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams for product development.
- Guide and mentor other engineers on technology, design, and coding practices.
- Work in an Agile development environment while continuously evaluating and improving engineering processes.

Requirement:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience or MS degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of related experience.
- Hands-on experience in an AI-Driven Development Life Cycle (ADLC).
- Proficient in leveraging AI coding agents and applying spec-driven development methodologies.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-grade agentic applications.
- Experience with foundational LLM and SLM models to build autonomous, multi-agent architectures.
- Expertise in Context Engineering and building RAG and MCP architectures.
- Experience in harness engineering, ensuring reliability and observability in non-deterministic systems.
- Strong proficiency in backend languages and frameworks, including Java, Spring, Hibernate.
- Proven experience in building end-to-end features and products with high quality, availability, performance, and scale.
- Solid understanding of message queueing, event streaming, and data caching.
- Experience with Database technologies (RDBMS and NoSQL), preferably OpenSearch and PostgreSQL.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript-based web frameworks like Angular or React.
- Knowledge of VMware technology is a plus.
