Short Summary:
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. You will be the lead engineer for our EU teams, responsible for architecture across cards and relationships with our EU counterparts.

Responsibilities:
- Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale.
- Lead software engineer for all cards in the EU.
- Collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle.
- Act as a force-multiplier for your team through technical solutions and operational processes.
- Ensure operations and availability with monitoring, triage rotations, and policies.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership on your team.
- Develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance.
- Participate in on-call rotation as a requirement.

Requirement:
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Proficient in backend systems at scale (Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
- Experience in developing front end applications.
- Proven track record in delivering major features and system components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
