Sr. Manager, Business Development
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Sr. Manager, Business Development is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for adidas LADMAR and the Latin America Business Development Leadership Organization.
This role is critical in defining and driving the organization's strategic direction, ensuring execution excellence, and partnering cross-functionally to support profitable and sustainable market share growth across the region. The incumbent will lead and manage key strategic initiatives, projects, and programs from planning through execution while addressing critical business challenges. The role also provides direct support to the LADMAR General Manager and Head of Business Development Latin America through cross-functional projects, strategic analyses, and ad hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Planning
- Drive the development, evolution, and implementation of the country Strategic Business Plan across brands, channels, and support functions, ensuring full alignment with the Latin America strategy.
- Facilitate the annual strategic review process and define yearly priorities and business objectives ("Game Plan").
Strategy Execution & Project Management
- Lead, coordinate, and prioritize the execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business owners to define objectives, establish KPIs, and develop detailed implementation plans.
- Monitor progress and ensure delivery against agreed timelines and business outcomes.
Business Opportunities Ownership
- Lead and manage the business opportunity identification process, from opportunity assessment through business case development and implementation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and implement solutions that maximize business opportunities and address organizational needs.
Business Intelligence & Insights
- Leverage internal data sources, advanced analytics capabilities, and external market intelligence to generate actionable business insights.
- Transform sales, brand, consumer, and market data into strategic recommendations that strengthen consumer engagement and business performance.
- Identify growth opportunities for adidas and Reebok in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Change Management
- Support the country Functional Leadership Management (FLM) team in driving organizational change initiatives associated with major projects and business transformations.
- Proactively assess change requirements and facilitate the adoption of new business processes, structures, and ways of working to meet evolving business needs.
Management Support
- Support the country FLM, particularly the General Manager, in facilitating ongoing management meetings and monitoring key business performance indicators.
- Prepare executive presentations, strategic reviews, and business updates for senior leadership.
- Support leadership communications to management teams, leadership communities, and employee audiences.
Networking & Collaboration
- Build and maintain a strong internal network, serving as a key point of contact for the Panama Hub.
- Ensure the identification and alignment of relevant strategic projects across the organization.
- Share best practices and successful local initiatives while helping create and execute a winning agenda for LADMAR.

Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting or business-related functions, including Business Development, Project Management, Market Intelligence, Finance, Sales, Brand Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience leading and developing teams (where applicable).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Advanced Spanish proficiency.
Preferred
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree.
- Experience in multinational and matrix organizations.
- Strong exposure to strategic planning and transformation initiatives.
