Short Summary:
This role is within the UK Product Compliance and Risk team, focusing on financial crime challenges and ensuring compliance while launching new products.
Responsibilities:
- Control design: Implement financial crime requirements in a customer-oriented way while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Drive financial crime control enhancements across Wise's products, ensuring a compliant and convenient customer experience.
- Develop ongoing review and monitoring processes for controls.
- Advise Product and Operational teams on interpreting financial crime regulations and improving processes to avoid breaches.
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluate risk exposure using data.
- Collaborate with the UK MLRO team and audit partners to strengthen FinCrime controls.
Requirement:
- Significant experience in financial crime controls (8+ years) in a financial institution, fintech, or consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK financial crime regulations, including Money Laundering Regulations and Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Experience with sanctions controls and implementing financial crime controls in product-led environments.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority.
- Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable business requirements.
