Short Summary:
Join University Hospitals Urgent Care as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Advanced-EMT, or Paramedic, where you'll provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment while enjoying work-life balance and professional growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
- Perform triage and take vital signs accurately.
- Obtain and document detailed patient history in the EMR system.
- Collect routine laboratory specimens.
- Administer medications and non-intravenous injections.
- Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when necessary.
- Assist with Occupational Medicine services.
- Enforce and maintain healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Perform office procedures and general administrative tasks.
- Oversee compliance with quality assurance programs.
- Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other locations as required.
Requirement:
- Must be certified or registered as an LPN, Paramedic, Advanced-EMT, or completed a Medical Assistant education through an accredited organization.
- 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred; willing to train outstanding new graduates.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration.
