Short Summary:
We are looking for a Junior FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in finance or accounting who wants to build a career in FP&A, with significant involvement in the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly close process by preparing reports and tracking deliverables.
- Analyze the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
- Prepare detailed variance analyses and provide commentary.
- Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure financial information is accurate.
- Partner with teams to gather assumptions for budgets and forecasts.
- Improve recurring reports and identify opportunities for automation.
- Support the semiannual budgeting processes and monthly rolling forecasts.
- Maintain and improve financial models used for planning and reporting.
- Analyze business trends and explain changes in financial performance.
- Prepare recurring analyses for planning and decision making.
- Support the production of financial presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform decision-making.
- Help improve finance processes and workflows.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in an FP&A, accounting, or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience in financial modeling and enterprise accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and database experience (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High integrity and discretion with confidential financial information.
