Short Summary:
Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company focused on building the Waymo Driver to improve access to mobility and enhance safety. The Systems Engineering team blends software and hardware systems to ensure high performance and safety standards for autonomous vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Architect software and design systems for scalable and maintainable testing of collision avoidance capabilities.
- Establish technical partnerships with the simulation team for API co-design.
- Integrate, test, and validate simulation technologies with the collision avoidance testing framework.
- Develop tools to automate test quality and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Requirement:
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Strong C++ and Python coding skills.
- Technical leadership skills to drive strategy and mentor engineers.
