Short Summary:
Waste Pro is hiring Garbage Truck Helpers for its Pompano Beach Division. This is an active, outdoor job working alongside a CDL driver to collect residential garbage, yard waste, recycling, and bulk items.
Responsibilities:
- Collect garbage, yard waste, recycling, and bulk items
- Move residential carts to the truck and position them for collection
- Manually lift and carry trash bags, containers, and other refuse
- Operate the truck's packing mechanism as trained and authorized
- Provide courteous and efficient service to residents and customers
- Follow all Waste Pro, ANSI, OSHA, and company safety requirements
Requirement:
- Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Work 8–12-hour shifts
- Follow safety procedures
- Provide customer service and work effectively on a collection team
