Short Summary:
At Uni Systems, we are looking for a professional Project Management Officer to join our team in Brussels, Belgium.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum events, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and backlog refinement.
- Promote the adoption of PM² agile principles and support the team in following agile ways of working.
- Remove impediments that prevent the development team from achieving sprint objectives.
- Support the Product Owner in backlog management, prioritization, and the creation of clear user stories.
- Encourage team self-organization and foster effective collaboration and communication within the team and with other development teams.
- Document the team's agile way of working.
- Monitor sprint progress using Jira boards, sprint reports, and burndown charts.
- Coach the team, Product Owner, and the organization on Scrum practices, roles, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate the identification of lessons learned and the implementation of improvements arising from sprint retrospectives.
Requirement:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent higher education qualification corresponding to at least 4 years of studies or 8+ years post-secondary professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master and using Jira.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, including its principles, roles, events, artefacts, and sprint cycles.
- Basic understanding of scaled agile concepts.
- Agile mindset with the ability to support iterative delivery, transparency, flexibility, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced knowledge of Jira, including boards, backlogs, sprint reports, and burndown charts.
- Understanding of software development processes and sufficient technical awareness to understand team challenges and delivery flow.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Product Owners, managers, business users, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Advanced Scrum Master certification or an equivalent certification.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of English.
