Short Summary:
Join Twilio as an Incident Commander to own and strategically evolve the incident response function, facilitating incidents across various severities and orchestrating responses across multiple business functions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Incident Commander for critical, cross-functional incidents.
- Orchestrate the incident process company-wide and ensure accuracy of incident data.
- Enforce incident response practices and shape industry best practices.
- Identify gaps and push for prioritization of fixes to reduce MTTR.
- Keep stakeholders informed with timely updates during incidents.
- Own and maintain key Incident Command documentation.
- Drive quality and accuracy in incident data.
- Lead cross-org projects and evaluate new tools and technology.
Requirement:
- 5+ years leading high-severity incident response, including as incident commander.
- Proven ability to influence incident practices at the Director/VP/C-suite level.
- Experience partnering across functions beyond engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make rapid decisions during incidents.
- Deep understanding of the incident response lifecycle.
- A curious, investigative mindset.
