Short Summary:
TradingView is the world’s largest financial analysis platform with over 100M users. We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure end-to-end product quality, influencing product stability and user experience for millions of traders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough functional, UI/UX, API, and integration testing across frontend applications and backend microservices.
- Develop, scale, and maintain automated test suites (Python using Pytest/Playwright/Selenium) for web interfaces and API layers, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Verify data integrity across client-side state, database levels, business logic, and inter-service communications (REST, WebSocket).
- Reproduce complex bugs, perform root-cause analysis using browser DevTools, Unix environments, and system logs, and write detailed bug reports.
- Participate in cross-browser/responsive UI testing, as well as basic load, stress, and system stability analysis.
- Analyze technical documentation, design test plans/scenarios, participate in release planning, and continuously improve QA processes alongside Developers and DevOps engineers.
Requirement:
- 6+ years of QA experience, with strong proficiency in both UI/Frontend and API/Backend testing.
- Solid understanding of client-server architecture, web frontend principles, microservices, and HTTP/WebSocket protocols.
- Proficiency with API and DevTools (Postman, Swagger, Fiddler, Browser DevTools).
- Practical experience writing automated tests in Python (Pytest framework) for UI (Playwright or Selenium) and APIs.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments (bash scripting, log analysis) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Excellent test design skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a track record of ensuring deep coverage for complex systems.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, agile mindset, and ability to advocate for quality across teams.
