Short Summary:
The Tide Security Engineering team focuses on protecting the company through robust threat detection and response strategies. This role involves building a detection and automation platform, continuously improving security posture, and collaborating across teams to enhance threat detection processes.

Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of a strategic vision for threat detection.
- Get hands-on with SIEM systems, creating custom log-parsers, configuring alert rules, and performing log analysis.
- Create security automations to streamline tasks like data enrichment and phishing email removal.
- Continuously hunt for sophisticated threats across infrastructure using threat intelligence.
- Monitor and respond to threats across AWS, GCP, internal applications, and employee endpoints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business-specific threat detection rules.
- Ensure quality of detections and uptime of the detection ecosystem through test-driven development.
- Lead complex incident investigations and coordinate efforts for effective containment and recovery.

Requirement:
- Strong knowledge of Splunk, Scanner, Sentinel, or SecOps.
- Understanding of modern attack and defense techniques in Cloud (AWS, GCP), SaaS, and desktop environments.
- Experience in security automation and familiarity with SOAR platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in writing automation scripts.
