Short Summary:
We're looking for a Web Engineer to help shape one of Tellent's most important growth channels - our website. You'll own the technical foundation of our HubSpot CMS, build scalable components, improve website performance, and enable experimentation.
Responsibilities:
- Build reusable HubSpot CMS modules, themes, and components alongside our Web Designer.
- Own the technical architecture of our website, including modules, HubDB, integrations, and site structure.
- Improve website performance through Core Web Vitals optimisation, clean semantic markup, and structured data.
- Implement and maintain tracking using Google Tag Manager, GA4, and HubSpot.
- Partner with the Head of Growth to build and support A/B testing and conversion optimisation initiatives.
- Work closely with our SEO team to ensure our website is optimised for both traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, as part of your day-to-day workflow.
- Document technical decisions and continuously improve the scalability and maintainability of our website.
Requirement:
- Strong front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience building reusable components within a CMS environment; HubSpot CMS experience is strongly preferred.
- A solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and structured data.
- Experience working with APIs, JSON, and modern web integrations.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4.
- An understanding of A/B testing and experimentation principles.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in your workflow.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with excellent collaboration skills.
