Short Summary:
We are seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices within Google Cloud Platform. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located in Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform
- Support the deployment, monitoring, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services
- Develop and improve infrastructure automation and deployment processes
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Partner with engineering teams to streamline application releases and cloud operations
- Monitor production environments and assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Help improve cloud security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and operational standards
- Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with distributed technical teams across different locations and time zones
Requirement:
- Professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud infrastructure
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications and production environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Understanding of containers and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or a similar language
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, networking, security, and access management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams
- Must be located in Hawaii
- Must be able to regularly work until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time
