Work Arrangement:
40 hrs/week, 50% Telecommuting permitted
Short Summary:
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, aiming to increase the GDP of the internet. This role offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects that shape the global economy.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and maintain robust APIs, services, and systems using Ruby and Java
- Act as a domain expert of Stripe products, particularly payout methods
- Build and enhance software infrastructure across the development lifecycle
- Design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models
- Contribute to core interface design and write code
- Scope and lead technical projects for early-stage products
- Engineer payments integration with banking partners
- Design and implement secure systems for sensitive data storage
- Evaluate technology and architecture choices for payment products
- Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota for production incidents
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
- 2 years of experience in Software Development
- Experience with Python, Ruby, Java, and Typescript
- Designing and maintaining scalable, high availability systems
- Debugging production issues across services
