Short Summary:
The Field Scanning / GIS Technician will provide expert level operations support for the Central UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) and Inspections Department, performing duties in support of various field scanning projects and troubleshooting technology issues.

Responsibilities:
- Continually improve understanding of current scanning data gathering.
- Carry out plans in conjunction with team members to use field scanning technology.
- Expertly perform various data collections and programs.
- Work alongside field crews to advance departmental objectives.
- Use in-house tools to deliver accurate end product information from remotely sensed data.
- Adhere to SOPs and training documentation.
- Meet deadlines for scanning activities and data delivery schedules.
- Implement improvements to human performance and eliminate failure modes.
- Stay updated with federal/state and local regulations.
- Work in the field, unsupervised, more than 95% of the time.
- Expect travel of more than 75%, including overnight stays.

Requirement:
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Design/Surveying, GIS, Robotics, Technology, or a related field required.
- 1 or more years of relevant experience in a technology-related field preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and sit/stand for long periods in all weather conditions.
- Subject to 24X7X365 emergency call.
- Regular overnight stays required.
- Ability to acquire NERC clearance (Provided by Company).
