Short Summary:
SPT Labtech is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to support development work within the R&D group. This hands-on role involves soldering, wiring, and prototype fabrication, with a focus on delivering high-quality builds for new product development.
Responsibilities:
- Building, reworking, and repairing prototype systems and evaluation builds.
- Using test and measurement equipment to verify designs and diagnose faults.
- Supporting embedded systems bring-up, integration, and testing.
- Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation and test records.
- Providing feedback to design engineers on testability and manufacturability.
- Coaching junior technicians and apprentices.
- Maintaining and calibrating lab test equipment.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Requirement:
- Excellent hands-on electronics skills: soldering, prototyping, and cable/loom fabrication.
- Good knowledge of test equipment and structured debugging methods.
- Experience with embedded systems and electronics fundamentals.
- Proven experience in an R&D or product development electronics role.
- Relevant qualification in electronics/electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
