Short Summary:
Join Sila, a next-generation battery materials company, as a Research Associate on the Battery Performance team. You will handle specialized chemical inventory and perform physical testing and analysis of battery cells, contributing to the development of innovative battery technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments on specialized component integration for battery cell design.
- Analyze experimental data and collaborate with engineers to optimize performance.
- Perform specialized battery cell testing and maintain high-quality performance datasets.
- Conduct systematic cell teardowns in inert environments and document findings.
- Maintain accurate records in centralized data management systems.
- Support multiple high-impact R&D projects and ensure timely achievement of milestones.
- Operate and troubleshoot testing equipment and analytical instrumentation.
- Manage battery materials and chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Requirement:
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline; Associate’s degree with relevant training considered.
- 1+ years in a lab environment, preferably in battery research or testing.
- Ability to follow complex SOPs and maintain high data quality.
- Experience with electronic documentation systems and analytical equipment, especially chromatography, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
