The Digital Transformation organization at SharkNinja is seeking a Director of Data Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of the enterprise data engineering ecosystem, building a high-performing team to deliver reliable and scalable data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the enterprise Data Engineering strategy.
- Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization of Data Engineers.
- Architect, implement, and evolve modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices for data architecture.
- Lead the modernization of legacy data environments into scalable architectures.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic priorities into data solutions.
- Collaborate with various teams to deliver integrated, secure, and governed data products.
- Drive adoption of DataOps best practices.
- Define service level objectives and operational metrics.
- Champion enterprise data governance initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to improve the data ecosystem.
- Manage vendor relationships and departmental budgets.
- Present platform strategy and engineering progress to executive leadership.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
- Significant experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platform implementations.
