Lube Technician

Job description

Scott Robinson Honda Service Center is seeking an experienced Lube Technician to join our growing Service Department in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of automotive repairs across various makes and models, a neat appearance, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform requested repair work in a productive and efficient manner
• Perform oil changes and quick lubes efficiently
• Perform tire changeovers and wheel balancing
• Handle light duty repair work such as wipers, air & cabin filters, and battery testing
• Repair vehicles under warranty according to manufacturer specifications
• Provide service advisors with estimates for any additional repairs needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience as an oil change technician
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance basics
• Fast learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Customer-centric service skills
• Ensures customer vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect
• Helpful team player
• Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly workstation
• General knowledge of automobiles, good communication, basic computer skills, and strong math and reading abilities
• Ability to learn new technologies and service techniques
• Must be able to submit a background & drug screening
