Short Summary:
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific leader representing Roche Medical & Scientific Affairs to laboratory and clinical stakeholders. This role involves translating complex diagnostic and clinical data into meaningful dialogue that advances patient care and informs medical strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary scientific partner to regional KOLs, laboratories, and clinical stakeholders.
- Build and sustain trusted, long-term partnerships to understand evolving customer needs.
- Lead high-value scientific exchanges to capture actionable insights for medical strategy.
- Identify emerging leaders and maintain accurate documentation of interactions in SFDC.
- Deliver impactful, non-promotional education to clinicians and laboratorians.
- Assess needs and provide customized educational resources.
- Maintain deep therapeutic knowledge and respond to inquiries in line with compliance standards.
- Partner with medical and cross-functional teams to execute regional plans.
- Ensure scientific accuracy and support continuous improvement across MSA.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years clinical/practice/industry experience OR Masters Level Degree in Science + 3 years of related experience OR PhD level degree + 1 year of related experience.
- Preferred experience in Cardiometabolism, neurology, infectious disease, or diabetes.
- Knowledge of Immunoassay, clinical chemistry, mass spectrometry, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
