Short Summary:
The Senior FinOps Engineer is a strategic leader who champions cloud financial management and AI-driven cost optimization. This role involves evaluating and integrating FinOps tools to enhance the software delivery process and digital product lifecycle while mentoring engineers and shaping the organization's technical direction.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and integrate new FinOps tools and methodologies to enhance the digital product lifecycle.
- Lead the definition and implementation of governance models for AI Consumption.
- Drive medium to large initiatives to identify gaps in Cloud Financial Models.
- Manage governance activities including invoicing, monthly accruals, and forecasting.
- Negotiate and partner with vendors and internal customers for financial objectives.
- Provide global-level support for technological initiatives and share knowledge at events.
- Design and enforce standards for cloud financial reporting systems.
- Act as a FinOps consultant and mentor to stakeholders and team colleagues.
Requirement:
- Extensive experience managing large workloads across traditional and cloud application architectures.
- Proven track record in cloud finance control and cost-efficiency strategies.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and coaching colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and pricing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and cloud cost optimization.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cloud Cost Analysis tools and financial governance automation.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Industry certifications in public cloud or FinOps are highly desired.
