Rethink Priorities is hiring two Analysts / Senior Analysts for its AI Strategy Team, focusing on transformative AI. The role involves strategic research, relationship building, and producing decision-relevant outputs to navigate high uncertainty in the AI ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on transformative AI, including its risks and potential interventions.
- Produce decision-relevant outputs tailored to funders, policymakers, and project founders.
- Self-manage priorities and workload in a remote environment.
- Build relationships with external experts and synthesize their input into actionable recommendations.
- Scope and assess new initiatives for strategic fit and potential impact.
Requirement:
- Generalist research and writing skills.
- Project management experience.
- Comfort with ambiguity and sound judgment under uncertainty.
- Knowledge of transformative AI and its implications.
- Strong alignment with RP's mission to reduce existential risk.
