Short Summary:
Reddit is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Core Platform team, responsible for the APIs that support various features and data models. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and ensuring high uptime and performance of systems.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and design new solutions to scale Reddit
- Build platform API projects for organizational scalability
- Mentor and coach junior engineers
- Operate services that handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second
- Optimize Reddit’s media experience for users worldwide

Requirement:
- Software development experience in Golang or Python
- 5+ years of experience with large-scale, mission-critical distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
- Familiarity with API platform service architectures
- History of building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Media delivery expertise and experience optimizing media performance
