Short Summary:
The APJ Accounting Manager is responsible for the execution and delivery of APJ accounting operations, ensuring all regional outputs are completed accurately, timely, and in line with SOX and group requirements. This role provides regional leadership across Australia, India, Japan, and Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Own timely and accurate delivery of APJ month-end close
- Act as day-to-day point of contact for senior management and external providers
- Oversee preparation and submission of statutory financial statements
- Manage APJ Accountant and ensure clear prioritisation, accountability, and delivery standards
- Consolidate APJ intercompany positions and cash requirements
- Review indirect tax returns and supporting workbooks
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls and documentation standards
Requirement:
- Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA)
- Significant experience in multi-entity, multi-country accounting
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Experience managing outsourced providers
- Strong understanding of SOX environments
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
