Short Summary:
Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments, providing finance and payments teams with visibility and control to reduce complexity and improve performance. The Growth team focuses on merchant onboarding and activation, offering a chance to shape new product areas.

Responsibilities:
- Lead frontend architecture and technical direction for the self-serve onboarding and platform experience.
- Spend roughly 80% of hands-on codebase time on frontend and 20% on backend.
- Partner closely with Design to enhance onboarding and platform experience.
- Mentor and raise the bar for new engineers.
- Set frontend conventions and quality standards.
- Contribute to the Python backend as needed.

Requirement:
- Strong, proven frontend expertise in architecting and building complex frontend applications.
- Comfortable being the most senior frontend voice, including pushing back on design or product.
- Some backend experience and willingness to work in a Python codebase.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.
- Nice to have: Experience with payment products and growth-focused product surfaces.
