Short Summary:
Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments, providing finance and payments teams with visibility and control to reduce complexity and improve performance. The Account Experience team builds and owns the platform that merchants use to interact with Primer.

Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of backend features from scoping through to production.
- Design and deliver backend services focusing on reliability, performance, and correctness at scale.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and advocate for clear service contracts.
- Monitor production impact, identify issues early, and drive incidents to resolution.
- Write high-quality, production-ready code.
- Collaborate with engineers on scoping sessions, code reviews, and technical decisions.

Requirement:
- Solid backend engineering experience with the ability to deliver production-ready software.
- Strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Comfortable working with REST APIs and ensuring service reliability.
- Experience owning work end to end, including monitoring and rollout.
- Confidence to contribute to architecture discussions and push back on unclear designs.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or infrastructure is a plus.
