Short Summary:
As PR Lead, you own external communications, including narrative, earned media programme, executive and founder positioning, reputation and crisis communications, and events programme. Your role involves managing an existing agency retainer, directing agencies, and making key decisions on communications.
Responsibilities:
- Own the global PR narrative: priority markets, media, narrative pillars, and coverage ambition.
- Run the agency portfolio: briefs, KPIs, monthly reviews, and decisions on agency renewals.
- Own the news pipeline: shape and land stories from product launches, milestones, and partnerships.
- Directly manage founder and executive positioning: speaking platforms, keynotes, podcasts, and awards.
- Handle reputation and crisis communications: risk map, holding statements, and spokesperson training.
- Build and maintain senior media relationships in priority outlets.
- Oversee events and side-events programme with the Event Manager.
- Align external messages with brand platform and product narratives.
- Define and report PR KPIs: quality of coverage, share of voice, and cost per outcome.
Requirement:
- 6+ years in PR or communications, with experience running external agencies.
- Demonstrable tier-1 business, financial, fintech, or crypto coverage.
- Real crisis communications experience in a regulated category.
- Track record of building a credible public voice for founders or executives.
- Excellent news judgement and high standard of written English.
- Experience with major event and conference programmes.
- Comfortable working with Legal and Compliance on sensitive communications.
- Commercially literate about agency spend.
- Fluent English.
