Short Summary:
Data Inventory Managers establish and maintain the organization’s account of its data assets, coordinating discovery work and ensuring the inventory reflects the actual environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish enterprise data-inventory structures and asset-identification workflows.
- Develop discovery approaches using surveys, system reviews, and technical scanning.
- Create ownership maps linking data assets to accountable programs and systems.
- Direct remediation work based on completeness, currency, and gap metrics.
- Maintain inventory records for AI systems, models, datasets, and dependencies.
Requirement:
- Experience with data inventories, asset management, or enterprise information management.
- Ability to design structured discovery and maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of ownership, metadata, classification, and data quality concepts.
- Experience using inventory tools and interpreting system documentation.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and reporting skills.
