Short Summary:
Cloud Infrastructure Engineers build and operate the shared technical foundation on which applications run, focusing on networking, compute, storage, identity, secrets, connectivity, and recovery capabilities. They utilize automation to create repeatable environments and ensure operational visibility through monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Build versioned cloud environments for networks, compute, storage, identity, and connectivity.
- Create landing-zone patterns, account structures, and guardrails for teams using shared cloud services.
- Develop resilience capabilities including backup, recovery, failover, and capacity management.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and cloud security posture management for infrastructure health and configuration.
- Provide reusable platform services for application teams to deploy and operate consistently.
Requirement:
- Experience designing or operating Amazon Web Services or comparable cloud services.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of identity and access management, secrets handling, and network segmentation.
- Experience with observability, capacity planning, backup, recovery, and incident response.
- Ability to evaluate cloud configurations against mission, resilience, cost, and security requirements.
