Short Summary:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Vocational Services, provides counseling, job coaching, vocational guidance, and case management services to individuals with disabilities to reach their maximum vocational potential.
Responsibilities:
- Observe clients in their work area and provide one-on-one job coaching, assistance, and direction as needed.
- Assist supervisor(s) with addressing client issues as they arise in the workplace.
- Identify and implement necessary accommodations to enable consumers to complete their assigned jobs.
- Assess and implement necessary assistive technology to address individual’s specific needs.
- Participate in the individual’s team meetings, providing updates regarding vocational progress.
- Counsel consumers to promote productive work attitudes and skills.
- Develop appropriate vocational outcomes based on the individual’s qualifications, interests, skills, and support needs.
- Provide individual and crisis counseling as needed.
- Complete reports in a timely manner including annual evaluations/assessments, monthly/quarterly statistic reports, individual goal plans, and other reports as necessary or assigned.
- Establish and maintain a professional level of communication with various stakeholders.
Requirement:
- BA/BS in Human Services, psychology, sociology, or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years counseling/vocational experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform CPR and First Aid on ground level.
- Availability 8AM – 4PM, hours may vary.
