Summary: ASM E2000 Maintenance Technician (or Epitaxy Equipment Technician) performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ASM E2000 chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and epitaxial reactors within a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, works effectively in a team setting, and supports continuous equipment performance improvement. This is a factory-based position supporting the Diffusion / Epitaxy equipment team and requires working in a cleanroom environment while wearing appropriate cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to eliminate recurring tool failures Improve system performance to meet process requirements and increase tool reliability Monitor, analyze, and interpret tool performance data Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures Partner with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects Clearly communicate equipment status during daily verbal pass-down meetings Provide clear, concise written communication to engineers and technicians across shifts Job Qualifications Technical Skills Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills Ability to interpret and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and its application in a manufacturing environment Problem Solving & Work Skills Demonstrated problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities Basic project management skills Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong work ethic with verifiable professional references Communication & Computer Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours per shift Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE Prior Experience ASM E-2000 Equipment Prefer 4-6 years or more of directly related wafer fab experience with an emphasis on Diffusion processing equipment. One of the following requirements must be met in a technical field of study: Previous experience as MST or Equipment Technician preferred in 200mm/300mm high volume manufacturing environment. Associate’s degree in electronics is preferred but not required Completion of a two-year degree (Associates degree) Technical Certification from an accredited institution 2 of 4 years completed towards a Bachelors degree Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts non-technical degree and 2+ years area technical experience 5+ years of area technical experience Military Technical School and 3+ years of area technical experience More information about NXP in the United States...
