Short Summary:
Natera is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Principal Engineer, Software in Test (SIT) to join the Oncology Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) Product Engineering team. This role involves serving as the test architect and lead developer for product integration efforts, ensuring robust solutions across the CGP portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Define Integration Test Architecture and deploy automated system integration testing frameworks.
- Review and validate OpenAPI/Swagger REST specifications and Avro schemas.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to address integration discrepancies early in the project lifecycle.
- Pioneer the integration of LLMs and generative AI tools within the testing lifecycle.
- Author and execute high-fidelity integration test scenarios across multiple systems.
- Minimize fragile UI automation by prioritizing asynchronous event verification.
- Validate that intermediate component builds comply with version synchronization matrices.
- Develop AI agents for log-scraping and fault vector isolation.
- Lead cross-functional engineering pods toward shared quality goals.
- Train and mentor Senior Software Quality Engineers and Software Engineers in Test.
- Introduce chaos engineering experiments to validate system resiliency.
Requirement:
- 12+ years of software development or test automation engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expert programming capabilities in backend languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Hands-on experience in modern test automation frameworks and containerized environments.
- Expertise in verifying microservices, REST/gRPC endpoints, and event-driven data hubs.
- Comprehensive experience utilizing AWS cloud native services.
- Prior exposure to regulated domains (HealthTech, MedTech, or FinTech) is advantageous.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
